Bio

Harrison is the recipient of this year's football "Brick and Mortar Award". This is given to the player who best exemplifies all of the character traits on our Standard of Performance. Harrison made a tough decision to stay following his freshman year when the coach who had recruited him left. The coach who recruited Harrison was Nigerian, as is Harrison, which was a very strong reason for him to come to Hastings out of high school. His commitment to stay was a very difficult and brave decision as he had no real ties here outside of his teammates. He had also gone through a head coaching change. 

He developed into a better and better player each year. He was an Honorable Mention performer as a junior and earned 2nd Team All-GPAC as a senior. More importantly, his willingness to be vulnerable, sharing his story and his culture with his teammates, really helped to galvanize our team and elevated him into a special leadership position on our team. He was a founding member of uCreate, the leadership team for football.

He is also a phenomenal student, earning CSC Academic  All-American and NAIA Scholar-Athlete as he carries a 3.79 GPA in his Health Professions major. He plans to attend medical school in the fall.

His coaches felt we'd be hard pressed to find a more deserving student-athlete of the year than Harrison Udeh. Congratulations Harrison!
