(Greenwood, IN) - Men's Basketball academic honors have been announced for the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently. Hastings had four players receive the CSC Academic All-District honor.
(Sioux City, Iowa) – Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year and headlines the GPAC Basketball All-Conference Teams for 2025-26.

Each semester, the NAIA Scholar‑Athlete list celebrates student‑athletes who excel in both academic and athletic arenas. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the winter sports who have excelled academically, including basketball, bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, swimming & diving and wrestling.
(Hastings, NE) – Taking their home court on Saturday afternoon for their senior day against Concordia, the Broncos rallied late to tie it, but a late Concordia three-point play sealed it for the Bulldogs, 82-79.
(Hastings, NE) – In a game between two teams one game out of eighth place in the GPAC standings entering the final week of the regular season, sophomore Micah Hinrichs came up clutch. With the game tied at 58, senior DaRon Hall collapsed the defense and kicked it out to Hinrichs for a buzzer-beating three that went in, came out, and dropped in again to knock off the Tigers, 61-58.
(Sioux City, IA) – In a matchup against the Morningside Mustangs, the Hastings Broncos lost 103-91 on Saturday afternoon.
(Hastings, NE) – Looking to build on their home win on Wednesday, Hastings added a win with a 87-69 win against Waldorf on Saturday afternoon.
(Hastings, NE) – Taking on the Midland Warriors at home, Hastings built a 15-point halftime lead and came away with a 92-79 victory.
(Mitchell, SD) – In a road contest against Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, the Hastings Broncos fell 83-70.
(Yankton, SD) – In a road battle against Mount Marty, the men’s basketball team led by nine at the half, but Mount Marty turned up their defense in the second half in the 64-52 defeat over the Broncos on Wednesday night.
(Hastings, NE) – Looking a win over Briar Cliff to stay within striking distance of the eight-seed in the upcoming GPAC Tournament next month, Hastings got a career-high 34 points from senior DaRon Hall, but the Chargers held on late for the 66-65 win.
(Orange City, IA) – The men’s basketball team held a 12-point lead at Northwestern on Saturday afternoon, but the Red Raiders came back in the second half to defeat the Broncos, 90-86.
(Seward, NE) – In an interstate conference battle at (RV) Concordia on Wednesday night, the Hastings Broncos trailed by one four minutes into the second half. From there, Hastings went on a 22-0 run over the next seven minutes to take the momentum and get the 75-57 win. Concordia came into the game averaging 83 points per game and the Broncos held them to a season-low in points.
(Hastings, NE) – Riding a two-game winning streak, the men’s basketball team came back home to host Morningside on Saturday, but fell 80-71.
(Forest City, IA) – Coming off a two-point win over Dordt, the men’s basketball team came back in the second half to win 91-80 at Waldorf on Wednesday afternoon.
