GPAC Cheer and Dance Invite on Saturday

(Sioux City, Iowa) - Morningside College will host the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cheer & Dance Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center/Allee Gymnasium.

Morningside, Briar Cliff University, Concordia University, Doane College, Hastings College, Midland University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, and Northwestern College will compete in the dance competition. All with the exception of Northwestern will compete in the cheer competition, which will be split into stunt and non-stunt divisions.

Awards are scheduled for 1:15 p.m.

Midland is the defending champion in the dance and cheer stunt divisions, while Nebraska Wesleyan is the defending champion in the cheer non-stunt division.

Admission is $8 for adults and $3 for students.
