Olson Upsets No. 1 to Advance to the Intercollegiate National Semifinals

On Tuesday, all 24 individuals went through a six-game qualifier and Olson qualified 24th overall with a total of 1081.
That did not slow him down on Wednesday as he upset No. 9 seed Kendrick Siders of Saint Ambrose 561-523. Up next was No. 8 seed Jayvion Colston of Webber International where Olson pulled off the upset once again winning 586-548 to advance to the quarterfinals where he would face the No. 1 bowler in the country.
Again, Olson was not fazed upsetting Kai Yamada of Mount Mercy 567-544 to advance into the semifinals.
There Olson will face No. 13 Braden Mallasach of Wichita State in the semifinals and will be broadcast on bowltv.com on Saturday. On the opposite side of the bracket is No. 2 Jaysen Spanbauer of Marian-Wisconsin and No. 11 Ryan Barnes of Wichita State. Olson went on to lose the winner take all match to Mallasch 234-227 on Saturday.
