Men's Track and Field Brings Back Two Gold Medals from GPAC Championship
Sioux Center, IA – The Hastings College Men’s track and field team competed at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship meet this past Friday and Saturday. Hastings brought home two gold medals en route to finishing 10th overall. All top eight finishes at the GPAC meet are considered All-Conference.

Sam Wise is your champion in the 5000m race walk finishing in a time of 28:47.
Brady Creech is your champion in the high jump with a mark of 2.05m.
Brian Clausen finished second in the 400m hurdles in a time of 54.30 while Connor Hartzler finished fourth in a time of 55.28
The 4x400m relay team consisting of Hartzler, Clausen Deshawn Burks and Aaron Ochsner finished fifth in a time of 3:23.
The men's 4x800m relay team consisting of Burks, Alec Garcia, Ochsner and Tyler Salter finished sixth in a time of 8:10.
Hastings will have a couple of last chance meets before nationals to see if a few more athletes can hit a qualifying time or mark with one meet coming up May 12 at Concordia and another coming up May 13 at Nebraska-Kearney.
