Baseball Swept by No. 1 Southeastern
Lakeland, FL – The Hastings College baseball team came in with a game plan to try and slow down the high-flying No. 1 Southeastern offense with knuckle ball throwing Turner Tinant but the Fire drew up enough offense in game one and then put on a show in game two.

Lakeland, FL – The Hastings College baseball team came in with a game plan to try and slow down the high-flying No. 1 Southeastern offense with knuckle ball throwing Turner Tinant but the Fire drew up enough offense in game one and then put on a show in game two.
The goal was to slow down the offense and hope for some luck and the Broncos along with Turner did slow the offense down in game one giving up just six runs on six hits. But Hastings mustered just three hits in the 6-0 game one loss.
The Fire then brought the offense in game two rattling off 19 runs on 20 hits.
The Broncos did pick up a few runs in the game as Antonio Rigney picked up a RBI on a bases loaded walk in the fourth. Mason Masur then picked up a RBI off a double in the fifth. Hastings finished game two with five hits.
The Broncos move to 6-12 and will be back in action Tuesday Mar. 14 finishing up action at the RussMatt Invitational with a doubleheader against Aquinas (MI) with first pitch set for 8:00 am in Winter Haven, FL.
