Men's Track and Field Results from UNK
Kearney, NE - The Hastings College men's track and field team headed west to compete in the University of Nebraska-Kearney Invitational and here are the results.
Justin Villars (SR/Minden, NE) brought home gold in the men's discus with an "A" standard qualifying mark of 51.43m. He won the event by more than two meters.
Brian Clausen (JR/Papillion, NE) claimed silver in the 400m hurdles in a time of 55.26 while Connor Hartzler (FR/Sydney, NE) placed seventh in a time of 57.52.
Tyler Summers (SR/Hastings, NE) finished third in the men's hammer with an "A" standard qualifying mark of 59.49m which is also the seventh best mark in school history.
In the men's 4x400m relay the Broncos finished fourth in a time of 3:33. The team consists of Hartzler, Clausen, Aaron Ochsner (SO/Hastings, NE) and Alec Garcia.
Cole Schmidt (SR/Hartington, NE) finished fourth in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.12m.
The men's track and field team will focus its attention on the Jim Dutcher Invitational set for Apr. 21-23 which is hosted by Doane University in Crete, NE.
