Women's Bowling Finishes 2nd at NAIA Regional
Overland Park, KS – The Hastings College women’s bowling team finished second at the NAIA Regional Conference Tournament this past weekend.
Overland Park, KS – The Hastings College women's bowling team finished second at the NAIA Regional Conference Tournament this past weekend.
The Lady Broncos qualified as the No. 2 seed with a total pin count of 3349 while Morningside was the No. 1 overall seed with a total pin count of 3491.
Hastings opened the bracket round against Kansas Wesleyan where the Lady Broncos came away with the 3-2 victory to advance. There they took on Columbia College as the Cougars knocked off HC to bump them to the lower end of the bracket.
Then Hastings had to take on rival Midland and would knock them out of the tournament with a 3-2 victory. Up next was Ottawa as the Lady Broncos were up for yet another five game match up where HC came away the victors once again 3-2 to advance to the championship match where they faced off against William Woods.
Hastings would drop the championship match 4-2 and will have to wait and see if they receive an at-large bid to nationals.
