Men's Bowling Takes 12th at ITC Sectionals
(Addison, IL) – The men’s bowling team participated at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles and Team Sectional Qualifier on Friday thru Sunday, finishing 12th out of 20 in the team qualifier.
(Addison, IL) – The men's bowling team participated at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles and Team Sectional Qualifier on Friday thru Sunday, finishing 12th out of 20 in the team qualifier.
In the singles competition made up of six games on Friday, junior Kaden Kuusela placed 19th amongst all of the individuals competing with a total pin count of 1257 and a 209.5 average. Four of his six games were over 200, including a 245 in game two. Junior Anthony Morella finished 37th with a total of 1224 and a 204 average, going over 200 in the last three games.
Sophomore Jimmie Bradley finished 50th with a total of 1199 pins and an average of 199.8, recording three games of over 200. Sophomore Colin Jaster took 236th with a pin count of 1017, averaging 169.5. Sophomore Alec Sundberg was 257th with a total of 964, averaging 160.7.
Junior Brayden Schmieding placed 259th with a total of 961, averaging 160.2. Junior Ethan Lester finished 264th with a pin count of 943 to average 157.2. Freshman Marshall Wilcher was 272nd with a total of 921 for a 153.5 average.
On Saturday in the team competition, they were 14th out of 20 teams in rounds 1-16 at 3118 pins. In rounds 17-32, Hastings had the sixth highest score, finishing with a pin count of 3229, moving up to 10th in the overall standings at 6347.
On Sunday in the team competition, Hastings was 19th in round 33-48 at 2901 pins, putting them 12th overall at 9248. They were 10th in rounds 49-64 with a pin count of 3109, which made them 12th in the final standings at 12357.
The Broncos will now enter the offseason and prepare for the 2026-27 season.
