(Olathe, Kansas) – The Hastings Broncos traveled to Kansas in hopes of pulling off the defending national champions in #6 MidAmerica Nazarene, but ultimately fell 4-0.
Hastings kept it a close match in the first half, allowing just one goal in the 11th minute of the opening period.
MidAmerica took eight shots in the first half compared to Hastings' four shots. Hastings took three shots in the first 18 minutes, but MidAmerica was able to keep the Broncos off the board to lead 1-0 at halftime.
The Pioneers opened the second half with a goal in the 55th minute, then scored again in the 70th and 73rd minutes to win the game 4-0. MidAmerica had possession most of the second half as they took 13 shots to Hastings' two in the half to win 4-0.
Lewis Bowes, Wade McWhorter, and Chayten Srai had the three shots on goal in the game for Hastings. Senior Pablo Arce-Salinas also recorded three saves.
