Men's Cross Country Opens Season with 6th Place in Hutchinson

(Hutchinson, KS) – The men's cross country team raced at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic this evening, placing sixth out of 15 teams.
The Hastings College men's cross country team saw a balanced effort across the roster in their latest meet. Sophomore Parker Graves paced the Broncos with a 17th-place finish, clocking 22:12.42. Senior Deshawn Burks followed close behind, taking 20th in 22:23.95.
Freshman Gareth Szabo finished 36th with a time of 23:49.60, while fellow freshman Jordael Hernandez was right on his heels in 38th at 23:52.81. Freshman Corey Fields placed 49th in 24:37.30, and freshman Henry Yazzie came through in 63rd at 26:01.45.
Senior Sam Wise finished 68th with a time of 26:16.72, and freshman Xavier Roderiques rounded out the Bronco lineup in 82nd at 27:18.34.
Up next, Hastings will race at the Muthama-Rogers Cross Country Invitational in North Newton, KS on Saturday, September 13th at 9:50 AM.
