Men's Cross Country Places 7th at GPAC Championships
(Ashland, NE) – The men’s cross country team raced at the GPAC Championships on Saturday, placing 7th out of 11 teams in the 8K race.

Sophomore Evan Struss led the Broncos by taking 25th with a time of 26:19.207. Senior Deshawn Burks later finished behind Struss, taking 43rd at 27:13.683. Freshman Jordael Hernandez was the next Bronco finisher at 57, with a time of 28:32.399.
Senior Tyler Salter placed 59th, clocking in at 28:39.008 and sophomore Parker Graves was 63rd at 29:02.423. Freshman Gareth Szabo finished 66th with a time of 29:15.462.
Senior Sam Wise finished next for Hastings at 69th with an end time of 29:43.547. Freshman Henry Yazzie was 71st at the 29:49.955 mark and freshman Corey Fields rounded out the Bronco lineup, taking 74th at 30:47.152.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that Szabo and Yazzie qualified for the NAIA Marathon Championship, which will be held in Dallas, TX on Dec. 14. The indoor track and field season is set to begin competition on Dec. 12 at the UNK Pre-Holiday Classic in Kearney, NE.
