Women's Golf Begins Spring Season Going 2-1 at Briar Cliff Match Play
(Sioux City, IA)- The Hastings College Women’s team traveled to Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, IA, on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Spring Match Play Championship. The Lady Broncos took third out of the eight teams that competed.
(Sioux City, IA)- The Hastings College Women's team traveled to Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, IA, on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Spring Match Play Championship. The Lady Broncos took third out of the eight teams that competed.
In round one, the Broncos won with the final score being 3-2 over Dakota Wesleyan. They lost their second round to Baker, 4.5-0.5. To finish out the third round, the Broncos secured another win with 4 to 1 against Dordt.
Juniors Tyesha Tynes and Lindsey Warsnak led the team with two wins and one loss. Junior Kya Shatzer wasn't too far behind with one win, one loss, and one tie. Rounding out the team were freshman Abbie Winterbottom and sophomore Makayla Miller, who secured one win and two losses.
Next, the Lady Broncos travel to Lincoln, NE, to compete at the Bulldog Spring Invite at Highlands Golf Course on April 7th and 8th.
