Women's Golf Has Season-Best 2nd Place Result at Doane Invite
(Lincoln, NE) – The Hastings women’s golf team traveled back to Lincoln to compete in the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite on Monday and Tuesday. The Lady Broncos took a spectacular second-place finish over the 13 teams that attended the event.
(Lincoln, NE) – The Hastings women's golf team traveled back to Lincoln to compete in the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite on Monday and Tuesday. The Lady Broncos took a spectacular second-place finish over the 13 teams that attended the event.
Leading the team was junior Kya Shatzer, who finished +21 after the three rounds, securing her a fourth-place finish. Shatzer's best round was her second, where she shot a 77. Junior Tyesha Tynes and sophomore Makayla Miller also had an impressive two rounds, where they both finished +27, tying for 10th place.
Closely following them was junior Lindsey Warsnak, who shot +29. Rounding out the Broncos was sophomore Katelyn Tacha, who finished +36 after the two rounds.
Next, the women will travel to Council Bluffs, IA, to compete at the Iowa Western Spring Invite at Bent Tree Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday next week.
