Kaz Leads Women's Wrestling at Doane

Crete, NE – The Hastings College women's wrestling team competed at the Doane Conner/Oppenheim Open and here are the results.
Larissa Kaz was the top contender for Hastings as she went on to finish second at 123. She began her day with a pinfall victory over Rachel Dismuke of Carl Albert. Up next was Alisha Van Scoy out of Saint Mary where she defeated her with an 8-0 decision. This moved her into the semifinals against Allison Doppenberg of York where she won by a 12-2 tech fall. This setup a championship match up against Cristelle Rodriguez of Doane where Kaz would fall 11-1 to claim runner-up.
The other competitor to pick up a win was Brianna Miller at 130 as she picked up a win over Alijia Chick of York by defeating her via pinfall.
Up next for Hastings will be the Tri Dual hosted by Chadron State on Saturday Dec. 10 out in Chadron, NE.
