Shotgun Sports Takes 6th at Bronco Invite
(Grand Island, NE) – The Hastings College Shotgun Sports team hosted the Bronco Invite this weekend, placing sixth out of 17 teams. The Broncos best event came in the skeet competition, where they finished third with 480 targets.

In the Men's HOA Individual, senior Hunter Gilbertson finished tied for fourth, finishing with 353 targets out of a possible 400. He was third in super sporting with 82 targets, sixth in skeet with 98 targets, and 13th in trap.
Senior Hayden Thomason was 29th with 334 targets, finishing 12th in skeet. Junior Chase Wieczorek placed 48th with 328 targets, tying the top score in skeet with 99 targets, and was 19th in sporting. Senior Austin Hofts was 50th with 327 targets, taking 11th in trap.
In the Women's HOA Individual, freshman Abbie Blackwell was 18th with 307 targets, placing fifth in skeet with 93 targets, and 18th in trap. Junior Katrice Lyons was 20th with 302 targets, also taking fifth in skeet with 93 targets, and was 17th in sporting.
Also in the Women's HOA Individual, junior Hannah Sears, who was 29th with 281 targets, finished 11th in skeet and 18th in trap. Sophomore Mollie Wechsler was 30th with 279 targets. Sophomore Sara Malcolm was 32nd with 276 targets, taking 17th in skeet, and junior Chyenne Tidyman was 44th with 243 targets.
Other Bronco participants in the Men's HOA Individual included sophomore Jace Bax, who was 80th with 315 targets, freshman Davis Davenport was 112th with 297 targets, junior Jake Royal was 115th with 295 targets, freshman Sean McCarty was 133rd with 279 targets.
The Broncos are done for the fall season and will be back in action when the spring season comes around next year.
