Women's Bowling Begins Season at Midwest Collegiate Championships
(Detroit, MI) – The women’s bowling team began their season at the Midwest Collegiate Championships, placing 32nd out of 42 teams over the weekend.

Senior Marissa Ruiz led the way for the Broncos, finishing 60th with a pin count of 883 and a 176.6 average in the five games, including a second game of 223.
Sophomore Breanna Miller finished 76th with a total pin count of 849 for an average of 169.8 in her five games, led by 204 in game two. Junior Langley Riha took 92nd with a pin count of 818, including 212 in game three, and had an average of 163.8 in five games.
Junior Hailey Kirchhevel finished 99th with a total of 855 and an average of 161 in five games. Sophomore Makayla Richards finished 164th with a total of 642 and an average of 160.5 in four games. Senior Alyssa Currie placed 303rd with a one-game score of 103.
Up next, Hastings will compete at Mid-States Intercollegiate in Wichita, KS on October 18-19.
