(Wichita, KS) – The women’s bowling team made their first of two Kansas trips this month over the weekend, placing 17th out of 24 teams at Mid-States Intercollegiate.

Senior Marissa Ruiz led the way for the Broncos, finishing 37th with a pin count of 1058 and a 176.33 average in the six games. Her first three games were 190 or higher, including 199 in game three.
Sophomore Breanna Miller finished 69th with a total pin count of 958 for an average of 159.67 in her six games. Junior Langley Riha took 104th with a pin count of 791 and had an average of 158.2 in five games.
Junior Hailey Kirchhevel finished 138th with a total of 560 and an average of 140 in four games. Senior Alyssa Currie placed 142nd with a score of 536, averaging 134 in four games.
Junior Shay Lux placed 161st with a score of 412, averaging 137.33 in three games. Sophomore Makayla Richards finished 166th with a total of 314 and an average of 157 in two games.
Up next, Hastings will compete at Jayhawk Challenge in Topeka, KS on October 25-26.
