Women's Bowling Takes 11th at Jayhawk Challenge
(Wichita, KS) – The women’s bowling team continued their Kansas trip at the Jayhawk Challenge in Topeka, placing 11th out of 14 teams over the weekend.
(Wichita, KS) – The women's bowling team continued their Kansas trip at the Jayhawk Challenge in Topeka, placing 11th out of 14 teams over the weekend.
Senior Marissa Ruiz led the way for the Broncos, finishing 11th with a pin count of 883 and a 176.6 average in the five games. She saved her best game for last, bowling a 193 in game five. Junior Langley Riha took 43rd with a pin count of 721 and had an average of 144.2 in five games.
Sophomore Makayla Richards finished 56th with a total of 636 and an average of 159 in four games. Sophomore Breanna Miller finished 62nd with a total pin count of 577 for an average of 144.25 in her four games.
Senior Alyssa Currie and junior Hailey Kirchhevel tied for 81st with a score of 399, averaging 133 in three games each.
Up next, Hastings will compete at their home invite on November 1-2 at Pastime Lanes. Saturday will be the Mike Munsterman Memorial and Sunday will be the Donna Hogan Memorial.
