Gallaway Named GPAC Women's Wrestler of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced that Reagen Gallaway has been named the Women's Wrestler of the Week for January 6-12, 2025.
Gallaway had an incredibly successful weekend individually by going 4-0 at the NWCA Duals and beat two ranked opponents. She beat #11 Gabriella Perez of #8 Campbellsville on a 10-5 decision, then pinned Cara Cheng of (RV) Missouri Baptist in 30 seconds. On Saturday, Gallaway pinned #2-ranked Samantha Barragan at the 1:57 mark in a dual that saw Hastings destroy #14 Texas Wesleyan 40-10. In their ninth place victory over #5 William Penn, Hastings trailed 22-1 going into Gallaway's bout. She earned a tech fall and that match started a 5-bout win streak that led to the 24-22 comeback win.
Gallaway and the Broncos will wrestle next at the York Open in York, NE on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 9am.
