Men's Wrestling Takes Down Midland on the Road

Freshman Aidan Rodriguez started things off with a 9-6 sudden victory at 125. Hastings won the next two bouts by forfeit, with junior Justin Rodriguez winning at 133 and junior Logan Hackman winning at 141. Midland took 149 by forfeit, cutting the Hastings lead to 15-6.
Sophomore Jordan Tobias won at 157 on a 13-2 major decision and junior Nicholas Freeland followed him up with a 18-1 tech fall victory at 165. Sophomore Esteban Sedano won by forfeit at 174, then Midland won the 184 bout by fall.
Sophomore Justyce Hostetler earned a pin at the 6:47 mark at 197 and the Warriors won the final bout at 285, making the final score 36-18 in favor of the Broncos.
Hastings will be off until after winter break, then will host the Hastings Open on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 9am in the Hastings Senior High Gymnasium.
