Sophomore Justyce Hostetler opened with a first round bye at 197 and pinned Lincoln McCarty from Iowa Lakes CC at the 2:16 mark to advance to the semifinals. He lost an 11-3 major decision to North Dakota State's Tayshaun Glover, but took third with a pin over Ryan Darnell of Iowa Western CC in the third place match.
At 157, junior Nicholas Freeland picked up a 16-0 tech fall win over Indian Hill CC's Amadi Cameron after a bye. He lost by tech fall in the quarterfinals, then got a 13-3 major decision win over Nicholas Moore. He ended his day with an 8-4 decision loss to Briar Cliff's Brandon Harris.
Junior Creel Weber lost by fall to Kody Tanimoto in his first match at 125 after a bye, then got wins by fall in his next two matches, the first being over Indian Hill CC and the second against Morningside. He picked up a close 17-14 decision win over Aiden Bastian of Iowa Western CC before losing by tech fall to Charlie Dykes of Indian Hill CC.
Sophomore Esteban Sedano got started with a 6-3 decision win over Waldorf and a pin at the 3:30 mark over Iowa Western CC. He lost an 8-0 major decision to Xavier Stermer of Indian Hill CC in the quarterfinals, then won his first consolation match in a 14-5 major decision over Indian Hill CC's Jeremiah Johnson.
At 133, junior Logan Hackman lost his first match following a first round bye to Indian Hill CC by fall. He got in the win column with a pin over Buena Vista at the 2:27 mark, then got pinned against Iowa Lakes CC in his next match.
Senior Dalton Michael lost by tech fall to Nebraska at 141 after an opening round bye, but managed a 9-2 decision win in the consolation round over Sioux Falls before losing by major decision to Iowa Lakes CC.
At 184, sophomore Conall Liburdi dropped his opening match after a bye to Indian Hill CC by fall, but picked up a 10-7 consolation decision win over Waldorf. He ended his day with a major decision loss to Concordia.
