Anderson and 4x800m Relay Bring Home Conference Titles
Seward, NE – The Hastings College women’s track and field team competed in the GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships as the Lady Broncos finished fourth with a score of 97.5.

Your first GPAC Champion is your 4x800m relay team finishing first in a time of 9:43. Team members include Madison Gerken, Jilee Golus, Cecilia Velarde and Veronica Pinkerton.
In the women's weight throw, Kiara Anderson is your GPAC Champion with a toss of 17.22m. Asia Tyler came in second with a toss of 17.18m while Jessa Eden finished fifth with a mark of 16.82m and Cassandra Pine finished sixth with a mark of 16.48m. Tyler finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.54m.
In the 60m hurdles, Jaida Rowe finished second in a time of 8.94 with Nisa Thomas finishing fifth in a time of 9.05 and Rhys Maxey finishing eighth in a time of 9.39.
In the women's 200m dash Rhys Maxey finished third in a time of 26.029, Nisa Thomas was right on her heels finishing fourth in a time of 26.030 and Jaida Rowe finished sixth in a time of 26.15.
In the women's 5000m run Shania Santos went on to finish fourth in a time of 19:04
In the women's triple jump Trinity Doublin finished fourth with a mark of 10.97m.
Kya Edwards finished fourth in the 60m dash in a time of 7.85.
Pinkerton would finish fourth in the 800m run in a time of 2:23.
Ikea Cuff finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.17m.
In the women's high jump Zailee Poulson finished sixth with a leap of 1.54m.
The women's 4x400m relay team finished sixth as the team consists of Diana Kollars, Pinkerton, Rowe and Gerken.
Pinkerton went on to finish eighth in the 600m run in a time of 1:39.
Hastings now turns its attention to nationals that will be held in Brookings, SD March 2-4
