Women's Track and Field Hit High Marks at KT Woodman
Wichita, KS – The Hastings College women’s track and field team took part in the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State on Friday and Saturday and here are the results.
Wichita, KS – The Hastings College women's track and field team took part in the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State on Friday and Saturday and here are the results.
Nisa Thomas led the way in the 100m hurdles by finishing fifth with a time of 14.56. Jaida Rowe finished in the top eight in a time of 14.84. Rowe would go on to finish sixth in the 400m hurdles.
Kiara Anderson led the way in the hammer throw by finishing sixth with a toss of 50.93m while Jessa Eden finished eighth with a toss of 49.06m. In the discus Eden led the way with a mark of 43.08m while Anderson hit a mark of 41.50m. Anderson would go on to finish eighth in the shot put with a mark of 12.98m.
The 4x100m relay team finished in eighth place in a time of 48.20. The team consists of Kya Edwards, Jaida Rowe, Rhys Maxey and Nisa Thomas. Edwards would go on to finish the 100m dash in a time of 12.65
In the 1500m run Landry Hinkson finished in a time of 5:24
In the 800m run Veronica Pinkerton led the way by finishing in a time of 2:21. Cecilia Velarde finished in a time of 2:34 while Cynthia Chaparro-Belloc finished in a time of 2:40.
In the 10,000m run Elizabeth Baade finished in a time of 41:42 while Jillian Rants finished in a time of 44:42.
In the triple jump Trinity Doublin led the way with a jump of 10.48m while Ikea Cuff finished with a leap of 9.85m. Cuff went on to make a leap of 4.83m in the long jump.
Hastings will be back in action April 13-15 taking part in the Kansas Relays along with the Concordia Outdoor Invite with the Kansas Relays being hosted down in Lawrence, KS while the Concordia Outdoor Invite with be held in Seward, NE.
