Day 3 Recap: Men's Golf Rises to 3rd at NAIA Championships Ahead of Final Day
(Silvis, IL) – After making the cut at NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships to move onto the final two days, the Broncos began their day in ninth place at +29. Hastings shot the second-best round of all schools at +3 on Thursday, putting them tied for third with Lindsey Wilson heading into the final round on Friday. Hastings is currently 12 strokes behind Oklahoma City and six strokes behind Friends.

Sophomore Taiki Sugawara led the way for the Broncos on Thursday, shooting four under on the day with five birdies, moving to a tie for fifth overall at +2 and just three shots back of first place individually. Senior Ryker Dunkley also had a great round, tying Sugawara for a team-high five birdies, shooting two under to move into 16th with a combined score of +6.
Senior Max Nielsen ended day three at five over, making him 35th at +11. Senior Henry Kosmicki finished the round at four over, which put him in 57th with an overall score of +15. Junior Josh Chapman filled in for the Broncos in round three, going +5 on the day.
The Broncos will close out their season tomorrow in the final round of the NAIA Championships.
