(Kearney, NE) – One day after their first match of the spring semester, the men’s tennis team returned to action, this time in Kearney against McPherson, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll.
(Kearney, NE) – One day after their first match of the spring semester, the men's tennis team returned to action, this time in Kearney against McPherson, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll.
McPherson took a 1-0 lead by winning 6-1 at both #1 and #2 doubles. Hastings had its most success at #3 doubles with sophomore Alex Hafer and freshman Caden Carter managing to win two games in the 6-2 loss.
Sophomore Joel Carter tied for the most games won of any Bronco in singles with six at #1 singles, falling 6-2, 6-4. Freshman Aden Ingwerson also won six games in his 6-3, 6-3 loss at #5 singles.
The Bulldogs won 6-2, 6-3 at #2 singles and 6-3, 6-1 at #4 singles. In the #3 and #6 singles matches, McPherson lost a total of four games, as they took the match 7-0.
Up next, Hastings will play Colorado Mesa in Kearney, NE on Friday, Feb. 13 at 1pm.
