Men's Tennis Loses at (RV) Bethel
(North Newton, KS) – In their first outdoor match of the year, Hastings lost 7-0 to Bethel, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, on Monday afternoon.
(North Newton, KS) – In their first outdoor match of the year, Hastings lost 7-0 to Bethel, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, on Monday afternoon.
Bethel won all three doubles matches by a score of 6-1, as they took a 1-0 into singles action.
Sophomore Joel Carter was tied at five-all in a close first set at #1 singles before losing the next two games, making it 7-5. Tied at three all in the second set, Bethel got a hold and a break of serve to go up 5-3, and later win on their serve at 6-3.
Freshman Caden Carter lost a close 6-3 first set at #6 singles, before falling 6-0 in the second set. The Threshers lost only one game in each of the other four singles matches to win it 7-0.
Up next, Hastings will host Nebraska Wesleyan tomorrow at 4pm.
