(Seward, NE) – In a match that was moved up a day from what was originally scheduled, Concordia defeated Hastings, 7-0, on Wednesday evening.
(Seward, NE) – In a match that was moved up a day from what was originally scheduled, Concordia defeated Hastings, 7-0, on Wednesday evening.
Concordia started off doubles strong, winning at #2 and #3 doubles without dropping a game. Sophomore Joel Carter and freshman Aden Ingwerson were able to get three games at #1 doubles, eventually falling 6-3, as Concordia led 1-0 after doubles.
The Bulldogs won 6-1, 6-0 at #1 and #4 singles, as well as 6-2, 6-2 at #3 singles and 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles. Sophomore Ben Hafer played two competitive sets at #2 singles before getting outlasted in the end, 6-4, 6-4. After a 6-1 first set loss at #5 singles, Ingwerson was able to keep the second set close in a 7-5 loss, as Concordia wrapped up the 7-0 victory.
Up next, Hastings will host Midland on Wednesday, April 1 at 11am.
