Men's Tennis Secures Doubles Point, Falls 4-3 to Tabor

(Lexington, NE) – After Hastings won the doubles point, the Tabor Bluejays responded by winning four of the six singles matches to get the 4-3 win on Wednesday.
Senior Ethan Mins and freshman Gavin Watterson picked up a 6-4 win at #2 doubles and Tabor won at #1 doubles. Sophomore Alex Hafer and freshman Caden Carter went to a tiebreak at #3 doubles, pulling out the 7-3 win in the tiebreak to secure the doubles point.
Tabor won the #1 singles match, 6-4, 6-3. Hastings got a 6-3, 7-5 win at #2 singles by Hafer, but the Bluejays won a close 6-4, 7-5 match at #3 singles. Freshman Aden Ingwerson won the first set in a 7-4 tiebreak at #5 singles, then after losing 6-4 in the second set, he outlasted the Bluejays 10-6 in the third set super-tiebreak. Tabor won 6-2, 6-0 at #4 singles and 6-4, 6-3 at #6 singles, as they came back to win the match, 4-3.
