(Hastings, NE) – Koen Mattern and Jaida Rowe have been named Bronco Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of March brought to you by Hastings Physical Therapy.
(Wichita, KS) – Hastings sent three Broncos to the National Championships, as junior Justin Rodriguez, sophomore Jordan Tobias, and sophomore Koen Mattern wrestled at the best-of-the-best event. Mattern defeated three wrestlers at 285 seeded higher than him, including a familiar foe at the #1-seed in the semifinal, to reach the final, where he was pinned at the end of the first period. His runner-up finish is tied for the best in school history.

(Kansas City, MO) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) proudly announces the 2026 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for winter sports. Each semester, the NAIA Scholar‑Athlete list celebrates student‑athletes who excel in both academic and athletic arenas. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the winter sports who have excelled academically, including basketball, bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, swimming & diving and wrestling.
(Orange City, IA) – The men’s wrestling team competed in the two-day GPAC Championship event, taking fifth out of nine teams. Sophomore Koen Mattern finished second at 285, sophomore Jordan Tobias was third at 157, and four Broncos took fifth place.
(Crete, NE) – In the second GPAC Duals of the year, Hastings won 32-18 over both Morningside and Waldorf in their first two duals, then lost their final dual 40-12 to Dakota Wesleyan.
(Sioux City, IA) – The men’s wrestling team traveled to Sioux City, IA to compete in the Sioux City Open on Saturday.
(Marshall, MO) – The men’s wrestling team competed at the Missouri Valley Invite in the two-day event that began on Friday.
(Hastings, NE) – Wrestling against #10 Doane on Senior Day, the Hastings Broncos lost 47-6 on Saturday afternoon.

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced that Nicholas Freeland has been named the Men’s Wrestler of the Week for December 8-14, 2025.
(Fremont, NE) – Taking on Midland in a conference dual, the Hastings Broncos went on the road and came out with a 36-18 win on Thursday night.
(Crete, NE) – The men’s wrestling team traveled to Crete, NE on Saturday to battle at the Doane Open.

(Sioux City, IA) – The men’s wrestling team traveled to Sioux City, IA to compete in the first GPAC Duals of the season. Hastings lost 41-16 to Northwestern in the first dual, then fell 30-19 to Briar Cliff in their second dual.
(Grimes, IA) – Two days after their first GPAC competition of the season, Hastings sent a few wrestlers to Grimes, IA, with a couple picking up wins at the Grand View Open.
