Lampe Moves Into 3rd Place Tie for Career Assists in Win Over Northwestern
(Orange City, NE) – Senior Megan Lampe recorded her 31st career assist in their 3-0 shutout win at Northwestern on a corner kick in the 73rd minute to sophomore Payton Tanner, putting her in a three-way tie for third in school history for assists.

Hastings was able to turn the page from their loss at College of Saint Mary quickly in the first half. Sophomore Madison Rhodes and senior Millie Gell had shots saved by the goalkeeper early on, but sophomore Sabrina DeHart scored on an unassisted goal in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
No other goals were scored in the first half, as Northwestern was able to limit the scoring to one goal despite getting outshot 11-0 in total shots and 6-0 in shots on goal. Rhodes led the team with three shots attempted in the first half, along with two from junior MaKenna Lockhart.
The Broncos stayed aggressive offensively to start the second half, shooting seven shots before getting their eighth shot of the half to go, coming on a goal by freshman Avery Higgins from Rhodes. Northwestern attempted their first shot of the game in the 61st minute, which sophomore goalkeeper Tatiana Villasenor saved.
Lampe got her much-anticipated assist in the 73rd minute, coming on a corner kick that Tanner kicked through for a goal, putting Hastings up 3-0. In the second half, Hastings outshot the Red Raiders, 12-6, with Northwestern holding a slight 3-2 edge in shots on goal.
Overall, Hastings took 23 shots to Northwestern's six, recording eight shots on goal, compared to Northwestern's three. Rhodes led the team in shot attempts with four, two of which were on goal.
