Men's Soccer Gets 3-0 Road Win Over Waldorf
(Forest City, IA) – The men’s soccer team traveled to Bolstorff Field to compete against Waldorf University. The Broncos won with the final score being 3-0.

(Forest City, IA) – The men's soccer team traveled to Bolstorff Field to compete against Waldorf University. The Broncos won with the final score being 3-0.
In the second minute of the game, freshman Nolan Cardona scored for Hastings with the assist by senior Juan Lopez-Arteaga. In the eighth minute, Cardona scored another goal, this time on the assist from senior David Maqueda.
Then in the 14th minute, the Broncos scored their third goal with a shot by sophomore Nicolai Kostal and an assist by Maqueda.
In the first half, Hastings took nine shots compared to Waldorf's seven. Junior goalkeeper Ethan Watkins also had five saves in the first half with Waldorf having three.
In the second half, no goals were scored by either team, as Hastings pulled out the 3-0 win. The Broncos had six shots while Waldorf had five in the second half.
Berger was also the leading shot taker for the game with five shots, four of those on goal. Kostal also had three shot attempts that were all on goal, while both of Cardona's shots found the back of the net. Watkins ended the game with a shutout win, saving all nine opportunities.
