Men's Soccer Finishes With 2-2 Draw with Dakota Wesleyan
(Hastings, NE) - The Hastings Men’s Soccer Team competed in their Homecoming game this Saturday at Lloyd Wilson field against Dakota Wesleyan. The intense game resulted in a draw with the final score being 2-2. Freshman Johnny Pedroza and Moises Trochez were the leading shot takers for the Broncos.

(Hastings, NE) - The Hastings Men's Soccer Team competed in their Homecoming game this Saturday at Lloyd Wilson field against Dakota Wesleyan. The intense game resulted in a draw with the final score being 2-2. Freshman Johnny Pedroza and Moises Trochez were the leading shot takers for the Broncos.
The Broncos took four shots in the first half with junior Ethan Watkins as goalie for the team. In the 32nd minute of the game, Dakota Wesleyan scored. However, minutes later in the 40th minute of the game sophomore Juan Lopez-Arteaga scored for Hastings with a penalty kick goal, his first goal of the season.
Hastings took another three shots in the second half, with junior David Hoti scoring their second goal to go up 2-1 in the 68th minute, assisted by junior David Maqueda. Dakota Wesleyan scored the last goal to tie up the game in the 73rd minute.
The Broncos gave the fans an exciting Homecoming game with three shots on goal and seven total shots.
Next, Hastings plays on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00pm in Forest City, IA. The game will be against Waldorf at Bolstorff Field.
