(Fremont, NE) – The men's soccer team traveled to Heedum Stadium to compete against Mindland on Wednesday. The final score resulted in a Bronco loss, 8-1
In the first half the Broncos took seven shots. The first goal of the game was scored by Midland in the 16th minute. Hastings scored closely behind in the 20th minute. Sophomore Tim Berger had the point with the assist by senior Wade McWhorter.
Berger also had the most shots for the Broncos throughout the game. Midland scored another two goals in the 32nd minute and the 35th minute. Midland had their last goal for the first half in the 43rd minute to go up 4-1.
Hastings took one shot in the second half. Midland scored another point in the 62nd minute of the second half along with another goal in the 80th minute. To wrap up the game, Midland scored again in the 84th minute and the 87th minute to secure the 8-1 win. Hastings also had five corner kicks compared to Midland's four.
Next, the Broncos, seeded #6, compete at the GPAC quarterfinals on Saturday, November 1 at #3-seed Concordia at 6pm.
