Men's Track and Field Results from Scott Nisely Memorial

In the weight throw, senior David Beadle won the event with 'B-Standard' throw of 58'06.50". Also in the weight throw, freshman Oliver Janik was 20th (40'11.75), freshman Ryan Oberg was 21st (39'05.25"), junior Titus Glanz was 22nd (38'09.00"), and senior Edward Holly was 23rd (37'06.75").
In the 600m, sophomore Evan Struss won the event with a 'B-Standard' winning time of 1:21.59, which ranks third in school history. Freshman Jordael Hernandez placed 13th in the race at 1:33.51, followed by freshman Thomas Thomas was 14th in the event at 1:37.35.
Junior Kaiden Merryman won the 60m prelims with a time of 6.84 and won the final as well at 6.87. Also in the 60m, senior Tanner-James Friend and junior Noah Hudnall qualified for the finals, taking fifth (7.30) and seventh (7.40).
Merryman also won the 200m with a time of 23.22. Also competing in the 200m, Hudnall was sixth at 23.84 and sophomore Adrian Lobeda was seventh at 24.47. Senior Deshawn Burks won the 800m at 1:56.34, followed by freshman Ben Mages in 17th at 2:06.79, freshman Corey Fields in 20th at 2:07.54, and freshman Henry Yazzie in 23rd at 2:14.08.
Hastings dominated in the 4x400m relay, as senior Tyler Salter, Burks, sophomore Parker Graves, and Struss had a time of 3:30.27. Hastings' second team of junior Zane Eggleston, freshman August Phye, Hernandez, and Mages was sixth (3:40.32). Their third 4x400m team of Fields, Thomas, freshman Xavier Roderiques, and Yazzie took ninth (3:55.26).
Freshman Gareth Szabo collected third place in the 3000m, finishing with a time of 9:31.72. Roderiques was fourth in the 1000m (3:00.56) and Salter was fifth in the mile, finishing at 4:43.34. Phye took fourth in the 400m with a time of 53.95. Sophomore Jack Scrivner and Eggleston reached the finals of the 60m hurdles by placing fifth and eighth in the prelims, then Eggleston was sixth (9.01) and Scrivner was sixth (9.01).
In the long jump, Scrivner placed fifth (21'02.00"), Defeo took 12th (19'09.75"), and senior Chance Elwood placed 13th (19'09.00"). Sophomore Cody Defeo finished in seventh place in the triple with a top jump of 41'01.50". Elwood was also ninth in the high jump (5'08.50").
In the shot put, Oberg was 13th (40'02.00"), Holly placed 15th (39'10.75"), and Beadle was 17th (38'09.00"). Also in the shot put, Janik was 18th (38'01.25") and Glanz was 19th (37'01.75").
