Men's Track and Field Concordia Outdoor Invite Results

In the 100m, Kaiden Merryman won the event with a time of 10.57. Sophomore Evan Struss came within a second of his personal best, winning the 800m at 1:55.38. Senior Sam Wise was fourth in the 5000m race walk, finishing with a 'B'-Standard time of 25:15.67, breaking his school record he set last year.
The Hastings 'A' 4x400m relay team won the event, as freshman August Phye, Struss, junior Zane Eggleston, and junior Rafer Severson teamed up for the win. The Hastings 'B' team took second in the race, as senior Tyler Salter, senior Deshawn Burks, freshman Corey Fields, and freshman Jordael Hernandez finished at 3:35.40
In the 1500m, Salter finished in sixth place at 4:14.04, while freshman Thomas Thomas was 14th (4:19.88), Hernandez was 24th (4:34.45), and freshman Xavier Roderiques was 27th (4:47.78).
In the 110m hurdle prelims, sophomore Jack Scrivner qualified for the finals by finishing sixth at 16.25 seconds, but did not race in the finals. Also in the 800m, Burks was ninth with a time of 1:59.43 and Fields was 24th at 2:05.81.
Also competing in the 100m, Severson was 10th (11.26), senior Kellen Robertus was 11th (11.29), freshman Cody Hrdy was 12th (11.30), and sophomore Adrian Lobeda was 17th (11.94). In the 400m, Phye took 11th at 52.88, along with freshman Ben Mages in 15th at 56.38. Freshman Gareth Szabo took 11th in the 10000m at 36:06.46.
In the field events, sophomore Cody Defeo placed fourth in the triple jump with a top leap of 13.18m. Defeo was also sixth in the long jump at 6.42m and Scrivner was ninth at 6.36m. Severson placed sixth in the pole vault at 4.10m and senior Chance Elwood was eighth in the high jump at 1.79m.
Freshman Ryan Oberg finished 11th in the discus (43.50m), closely followed by senior David Beadle in 13th (42.12m), freshman Thomas Mandeville in 18th (40.21m), freshman Oliver Janik in 19th (39.93m), and junior Titus Glanz in 22nd (37.13m). Janik placed 26th in the hammer at 38.76m and Glanz was 29th at 33.92m. In the shot put, senior Edward Holly took 19th (12.60) and Oberg placed 18th (12.32m).
