Women's Track and Field Results from Concordia Invitational

In the 1000m, freshman Brooklyn Sutter finished runner-up in the event with a time of 3:03.61, setting a personal-best and moving her into sixth in school history. Junior Grace Dow was close behind in fourth place at 3:10.44.
Senior Ava Brackhan earned second place in the 3000m race walk, crossing the finish line at a personal record and 'B-Standard' time of 17:21.53, keeping her sixth in Hastings College history. Sophomore Destini Johnson was third in the 3000m race walk at 18:05.92.
Sophomores Ava Reese and Lucy Carey were third and fourth in the 60m hurdle prelims, as well as the finals, as Reese finished with a time of 8.97 and Carey was at 9.18.
Freshman Paige Faimon finished 13th in the 800m at 2:38.03, freshman Claire Noerrlinger was 15th at 2:40.81, and freshman Kate Baker was 17th at 2:46.38. Senior Kathryn Columbus took 18th in the 600m at 2:04.36.
In the field events, Carey took seventh in the long jump at 5.27m, sophomore Kamerin Turner in 12th (4.92m), freshman Gianna Humphrey in 16th (4.73m) and freshman Samara Humphrey in 22nd (4.20m).
In the high jump, G. Humphrey was 10th at 1.46m. Senior Trinity Doublin finished 14th in the triple jump with a top mark of 10.44m, while S. Humphrey was 19th (9.83m) and freshman Gabryella Bates was 20th (9.77m) in the event.
In the shot put, freshman Mattilynn Schroeder was 12th (11.92m) and freshman Katelyn Strampher was 16th (11.38m). Schroeder was also 26th in the weight throw (12.14m).
Up next, Hastings will compete at the GPAC Indoor Championships in Sioux Center, IA on Feb. 20 and 21, starting at 1pm on Friday.
