Rowe Breaks Own School Record at Concordia Twilight

(Seward, NE) – The Hastings Broncos competed at the Concordia Twilight Invite on Friday in their final meet before the NAIA Championships.
Senior Jaida Rowe improved upon her school record in the 400m hurdles with an 'A'-Standard time of 57.64, winning the race by 5.5 seconds. Sophomore Lucy Carey was third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.42, the fourth-best mark in school history and eight hundredths of a second off a 'B'-Standard time.
Freshman Brooklyn Sutter took second in the 1500m, finishing with a time of 4:44.24. In the 5000m race walk, senior Mikayla Seebohm placed third with a personal-best time of 30:17.06 (fifth-best in school history), while sophomore teammate Destini Johnson was fourth at 30:43.59 to take second.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the NAIA Championships in Asheville, NC on May 20-22.
